Worship (Everyday Distinctives)
What if worship is bigger than music? Bigger than a Sunday service? Bigger than a moment of emotion or an experience at the altar?
In this message, Pastor Randy introduces the first of Everyday Church’s five Distinctives: Worship.
As Everyday Church continues to unpack its vision and culture, this message explores why worship has been a defining mark of the church from the very beginning—and why God may be calling His people into something deeper than performance, preference, or attendance.
Drawing from 2 Kings 3, Romans 12, and the story of the early church, Pastor Randy examines the tension between musical worship and a life of worship. He discusses the role of the Holy Spirit, the importance of both anointing and formation, and the danger of reducing worship to something we consume rather than something we become.
The invitation is simple but challenging: not merely to attend worship, but to offer our entire lives to God as a living sacrifice.
Because Jesus didn’t die so we could be entertained by worship.
He died so we could become worship.
